This is not a product for everybody.
To use it you need to be a touch
typist and need to devote time to training yourself to it. My regular
speed is about 45wpm and I average 18-20wpm with the half-keyboard but
have not been working hard at it for more than a few hours.
I have used this keyboard in Windows and Linux, both with the dvorak keyboard layout. I am sure that qwerty will also work fine.
If
you can devote the time to it, can touch type AND need to have your
right hand free for other things, I recommend this product. For anyone
else, don't do it, you will just set it aside and go back to your old
keyboard.
FINALLY, a product that only makes me have to type HALF as much as
normal. That's 50%! This will be so useful for my daily job of copying
Shakespearean manuscripts. In fact, I will write the rest of this review
using the Matias Halfkeyboard USB. Here we go, testing:
